A Whole Whack O' Stuff

Hey there everyone! It's that time again .. yup! The ol' blog update! Of course where do I begin? that therein is the question! Let's hope that somehow or another this will be a good entry. So on with the show shall we?

First things first. I hope somehow I can get that MRI/Ultrasound for my shoulder moved up. I tell you, this is just getting annoying not being able to have full range (and or) use of my arm. It's not until something like this happens do you take the simple things for granted. I will say that nothing hurts really (well, with Sensory Neuropathy you don't quite feel the pain that "normal" people feel) badly but just being able to wash my hair without having to use my left arm to lift it up would be nice or even brush my hair without doing the same thing like I do when I wash my hair would be great. It's all just a real inconvenience borderlining on nuissance now. All I want is this fixed and looked so I can get on the ice at the start of the hockey season! And even that is doubtful if I need surgery because a early prognosis by my doctor says it could be my rotator cuff and that can take up to 6-8 months to heal (of course that depends if I get booked for surgery in October and **assuming** that I require surgery).

I know I shouldn't just to any conclusions until I know the facts but let's hope for the absolute best but I am fearing the worst. Bummer.

The 2006 FIFA World Cup of soccer is in full swing and so far I am really enjoying the quality of soccer played and the different countries who have made this tournament with their different (or same as years before) styles of play. It's pretty cool to see a little country like Ghana beat a Super Power like Czech's (who are ranked second in the world by FIFA) like they did on Saturday. Of course I'm cheering for England (and as I type this I am wearing my 2002 white England jersey with my fave player David Beckhams' number 7 on it) like I always do whether it's World Cup or the Euro Cup. I'm thinking England can get past Equador on Sunday but I am not sure past that. The game against Sweden yesterday showed the best 45 minutes they have played all tournament thus far but the second half of thegame wasn't too fantastic despite the fact that they got a 2-1 lead with about 5 minutes or so go in the game until Sweden scored at the 90 minute mark. They have to play a full 90 on Sunday or else it will be a long and disappointing wait for another 4yrs. I think they'll pull this one out Sunday.

Not too much happening at the work front really. Mind you though I did travel half way across the city to only find out that I didn't have to work last Saturday. For some reason I misread the schedule before I left the week before. I just didn't look at the right name on the sheet. Of course I did check very carefully for the following week and this Saturday I don't work as well. You just have to love that down time during the summer in retail when the hours get cut back by head office. I suspect I will be in next week but I will just go in anyways to check and maybe go to the movies too if anything good comes out this weekend (which I suspect will not be too much until Superman comes out on Wednesday).

And speaking of movies ....

I went and saw "Nacho Libre" last Friday. It's no secret that I am a wrestling fan so this film was right up my alley. In general the film was okay and was entertaining to some degree. I thought it was a cool concept to use Lucha Libre as comedy fodder and the idea of Jack Black in tights was funny while all the while being a Mission chef on the side but for some reason I didn't burst outloud but more so a guffaw than anything. If you enjoyed the "Napoleon Dynamite" style humour (which I loved) then you will enjoy this. But for some odd reason it didn't work too well with me. Was it bad? No it wasn't bad at all. Was it good? Somewhat. I think it's one of those films I will have to see again and see if I wasn't in the right frame of mind to see that day.

Anyways, that's all I can think of for the time being. I'll get around to posting my playlist some time very soon!

I also saw that movie. Promise to keep a secret? I shed a tear when the nun came to see his last fight and he won.
