WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

What a interesting time it is in London. Not a whole lot happens here alot of the time but today we celebrated an event.

As the banner says the London Knights are the 2004/2005 CHL Memorial Cup champions. That's right, the London Knights are officially now the #1 major junior team in all of Canada (and North America too? of course it should be noted that they were the #1 team in the rankings all season but this victory just cemented that position) after defeating the Rimouski Oceanic 4-0 and capping off what was a dream season for many Knights fans in London. Of course along the way the Knights went the perfect 3-0 through the tournament and rewritting the CHL regular season record books in the process as well.

What we had in London will never be duplicated and I highly doubt that anything like this will be seen again in the CHL. A team of such character and dominance was a joy to watch every Friday night on TV and even through this spring's playoffs. Of course I should note that I am a Ottawa 67's fan and they crushed my hopes of a OHL championship and a Memorial Cup title at every available turn (but I am also a Knights fan so I was conflicted). Of course common sense said that I should cheer for my boys from Ottawa but I couldn't help but cheer for our boys in Green and Gold at the same time.

In the end the right team won. A team that boasts future NHL talent is one to be reckoned with and you can be sure that next year will be hard to follow this past season. What will the future hold? Who knows but you can be sure that Knights fans will remember the 2004/2005 season always.

Thanks boys for an amazing season and one I will never forget!

Anyways, I thought I would post one of the pictures that I was able to take at the parade before my digital camera battery went kaput. I did get more photos though and as soon as I get them developed (that's right .. DEVELOPED .. using this weird thing called "film"! what's that?!) I will post them up. I am pretty excited about what's on that roll.

About the picture. The players came out in trucks and people were able to approach the vehicles for autographs. This is the first truck that came out and in that truck was (Goaltender #37) Gerald Coleman, (Forward #7) Drew Larman, (Forward #49) Danny Fritsche and (Forward #91) Dave Bolland.

NERDS!

Simply incredible! (and I don't mean this in a good way either) Some people are just stupid and can't live in denial ..

Star Wars
fans who have begun queueing outside Hollywood's famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre in the hope of catching the first screening of the new Star Wars film have been told they are in the wrong spot. LucasFilm has opted to open Episode III: Revenge of the Sith at the nearby ArcLight complex, next to Hollywood's Cinerama Dome. However some fans have failed to accept they have made the wrong decision and are refusing to budge.
